" House Call " On The United States House Of Representatives

Ann Marie and I went to Washington, D.C. last week for the "House Call" on the United States House of Representatives. Some of you may know that this rally was a very spontaneous event that was organized in less than a week's time. Rep. Michele Bachmann was the principal organizer along with a half dozen other congressmen, Mark Levin, Jon Voight, and others. The event's purpose was a last minute attempt to influence Congress  to not pass the Health Care Bill. House minority leader John Boehner called the bill a "monstrosity'. I agree. The event mushroomed and on Nov.5th estimates of 25,000 to 40,000 people showed up with less than a week's notice. Nearly all the Republican members of the House showed up as well as Sen. Sam Brownback. Many additional congressmen and women spoke as well as the ones who were scheduled.
I have attended many events in Washington since 1989. I have not seen the intensity displayed before to match this event. As planned, after the rally we converged en masse  upon the House office buildings to visit our representatives face to face. Our Representative Heath Shuler received us warmly and gave us a lengthy hearing.
I commend him for giving us his time and attention. I shared with him the word I received from The Lord on November 5, 2008, "The Whisper became a Roar. "

Readers may view that word on this blog and e-mail comments.
To Rep. Shuler's credit he, being a democrat, listened to the word of prophecy over the democratic party. I pray that God will raise him up to be a light of righteousness and a voice of truth within that party. I will add updates to this entry later. Any readers interested in a more in depth discussion of this rally and prayer for this nation please e-mail me for info on upcoming  conference calls.
